How many hits?

Hiking, hiking, hiking

Don't ask us why we want to do this. We can't answer. How do you explain why you want to walk 2,600 miles, an average of 25 miles per day for 5 months, thru snow, water, mountains, deserts, forests and endure snakes, rodents, hot, cold, wet and dry weather; get blisters and sore bodies, eat odd foods and pee behind trees. Sleep in a small tent and carry 25+ pounds on your back and...don't shower for days at a time. Why????

It's "fun."
It's rewarding
It's fulfilling
It's challenging
It's healthy
It's together time
It's communing with Nature
It's all about discovering who we are and what we are capable of
It's a fever
It's something we can't explain but we have to do
It's new friends
It's old friends
Of course...it's pizza!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
– Mark Twain
We've hiked many steps for these photos & stories. Please don't use them without asking. Thank you. Picture Window theme. Theme images by wingmar. Powered by Blogger.
