March 2013. Three weeks and counting...

Three weeks to go and I'm beginning to panic.

I still don't feel comfortable blogging using the phone so here I am again trying my hand at the blog using the phone. It's been awhile since I've been brave enough to tackle this challenge. TBG has been having a good time doing blog entrees but what he has failed to mention is that he is using the computer and not the phone! I do give him credit though he has figured out a way to get the camera to talk to the phone and hopefully keep our photos uploaded. I am learning to use the speaking feature to dictate our blogs instead of typing. It's a great feature in theory. We will see how it really works.
I'm coming back with new technology and adding a photo from the camera. I hope it works!

We have been finalizing our re-supply boxes and trying to get our packs comfortable. So far it looks like we'll be able to keep them under 30 lbs even in the Sierras. The bear canister is a problem as it takes up so much room in our small packs but we're making it work.

It's just hard to believe we're so close to leaving. We can't seem to wrap our minds around the idea that we're really going to do this.

We are looking forward to the challenge and the adventure. We thank all of you who support this endeavor and encourage us. Our families and friends and our jobs--thank you, thank you, thank you!
