April 21 found us hiking from Oswald West State Park to Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain, a distance of around 10-12 miles. The weather was wonderful and warm (naturally, it was an uphill hike!) and the scenery was beautiful!
Starting at Oswald West State Park, we crossed this fun bridge early on. It was more secure than it looks!
I'd seen this view from the road so many times and often thought how cool it would be to see the base of it...guess what...
Here's what the base looks like! Little did I know there is a nice trail from the highway to a view point. The trail is short and with the exception of the first part off the highway, it's relatively easy.
Moving up the trail we looked back on this view. I told you it was beautiful!
The spider webs across the trail were so annoying! It was nice to see this one that was actually functional!
Everyone who hikes this trail has a photo like this. I guess we have to join the crowd!
Coming back down the trail we saw it all in reverse. You can see how mild the trail is.
