April 12, 2013 Here we go into the clear blue yonder...

Here we are, sitting at gate C4 waiting for our plane.
Only another hour to go...do you think we might of been anxious? Our son Bryan played taxi for us and was mildly entertained by our nervousness. TBG chattered constantly while I, the usual chatterbox, hardly spoke at all.

TBG freaked when our suitcase was whisked away. Funny the things that affect us. Both of us are sitting here still not quite believing we are here and what we are about to undertake. Whoa....

TBG just commented that we are taking a 2 1/2 hour flight that will take us 4 months to get back to our starting point (not including going all the way to Canada!)

San Diego here we come!

Just how bald is the bald guy?
D plane! D plane!
At gate C4

As usual...
WE LOVE HIKING!

  1. That's pretty bald, Bald Guy! Now how bald is KOKO? I don't see too much hair under that hat either! Legasorus just shaved off his hair also yesterday, two peas in a pod is all I can say.
Safe trip to you both, we're right behind you!

  3. I'm not as bald as The Bald Guy but I should not need a trim for awhile!

Our first night with Scout & Frodo was interesting. We git in at about 11:30 pm and others arrived later. They took some to the trailhead this morning at about 5:30. We get the hideaway bed in the living room so we know all the movements! There are 2 guys outside in a vacation trailer, and I think 13 others inside-not including our hosts! We are so amazed and appreciative of thir generous hospitality...all they do is free to the hiker.

    THANK YOU SCOUT & FRODO!

  5. Seeing that we have the same barber, this hair challenged guy and his wife (she still has hair) want to wish you the best on your upcoming PCT adventure. Blaze that trail north. Hope to see you at kickoff if you plan on attending.
