We woke
early as usual, but lazed a bit. Were surprised when Miriam's husband showed up instead of
Miriam but very happy to see him. Yogi continued with her trail magic by
cooking pancakes for the hikers-never had better pancakes in my life! We were
excited to see Cookie Monster, Toaster, and Smudge before we left and to
reconnect with Belgium Red and her companion K-Pax. We ended up
leap-frogging with them all day. They hike faster but about the same distance
we do and have the same tastes as us so we ended up camping in the same area as
well. We have more food than we'll need for this short leg, but that's okay! We
are excited to be heading for KM and showers and laundry and a zero day! We
anticipate it taking 3-4 days to get there. I'm really tired and anxious to go
home-still homesick but overall, I am feeling better today even though my feet
hurt. TBG keeps pretty quiet-he's not the whiner I am.
